(yes we still have one of those >< wow i feel old now.) and i have a camera which records video and audio..but it's dont last every long, because it's an older camera. and i want to know if there is any places where i can get a recorder so that way i can do an evp session in my house. i just hope the spirits are in a good mood that night!

I use Sony model DVRs that can be found in the electronic departments of Target and Wall Mart or at Best Buy.  They cost between $25.00 and $35.00 depending upon the model you purchase. I would recommend that you purchase one that has a USP port to download the recordings directly onto your home PC.  I will warn you that Windows Vista has glitches that are not recognizing the engines on the SONY devices.  I have gone to the Sony website and downloaded the programs, however the Vista still does not recognize the engine.  I will have to upgrade to Windows 7 as soon as possible.  Check the packages for a disc to download the needed files for the DVR and you may not have this problem.

One thing I would like to say is that is does not require spending alot of money to get started and there is nothing wrong with using older equipment. You can still use the older camera to do short evp sessions and then reveiw them. Believe me, it sounds nice to have a lot of equipment that can record hours of video and audio until you have to find the time to review all of that for evidence. People lose sight of the fact, that if you have recorded four hours of audio/video, you will have to listen or watch four hours of video and you cannot fast forward it for fear of missing something subtle.

Good Luck!

thanks! i had done a very short evp session on my (very old) camera, but i found out that my new laptop don't support my old camera. so i had to listen to it on my little camera's speaker. i didnt get anything but i think they want to talk now, so i'm trying to find time between college classes to get a evp recorder.

Have you had an opportunity to try the recorder during an EVP session?  If you have, how did it go?
